Is everyone telling you to head over to Phuket for the best vacation ever? Well, we’re going to ask you to go to Krabi instead! Why? Unless you want to share an island with over eight million other tourists, Krabi is the place to go. Despite Phuket offering some of the best beaches out there as well as other touristy spots, it’s just too crowded for anyone to make the most out of it. That said, even in the high season, Krabi will never get crowded. Plus, there are still plenty of things you can do in this beautiful place.

That said, if you’re interested in visiting Krabi for your next vacation, here’s a list of things you can do:

1. Go on a Snorkeling Tour

There are just so many places you can go snorkeling at Krabi. However, perhaps the best place you can go snorkeling here is during a 4-island or even a 5-island tour. On it, you’ll be given a chance to visit, you guessed it, four different islands. During the tour, you’ll get to visit the myriad of islands that are present on the island as well as snorkel nearby to explore what lies beneath.

These tours typically last up to eight hours long, so it is a good option when it comes to an all-day activity. Everything will be taken care of as well, so all you need to do is show up for the tour! If you want to learn more about what the tour has to offer, you can always ask the tour operator. They’ll be more than happy to give you the information you need.

2. Visit a Temple

There is a unique temple you cannot forget to visit while you’re exploring Krabi, and that’s the Tiger Cave Temple. The temple itself is located on a mountain, so you’ll need to be generally fit to make it up there. To give you a good idea of what you’re up for, there are around 1260 steps to overcome to make it to the Buddhist temple. Once you finally make it up there, you can take a sip out of the bottle and bask in the view that lies around you.

While the climb to the temple is challenging, the rewards are much worth the effort. That said, don’t forget to bring a bottle or two before the hike. Thailand’s weather isn’t the coolest out there, and you’ll sweat a waterfall on the way up!

3. Chill at Krabi Town

Krabi town will be a lot different than any towns you might visit. While other places have revamped their cities and towns to look more modern and tourist-friendly, Krabi remains to hold onto its local feel.

If you’re the type who seeks out local experiences at its best, Krabi town can do just that for you. With local bars and fresh food straight out of the nearby river, it doesn’t get any more local than this, especially in terms of Krabi town’s food.

Conclusion

Krabi is just as good or even better than other more famous tourist destinations like Phuket. While it might not ever offer as much as these places, what it does give you is a relaxing experience away from the crowd that many tourists long for in their vacation. After all, you’re traveling to relax, not to get pushed around left and right stressed out about not being able to make the most out of the trip.
